iPhone4 and Roaming Orb app
My iPhone4 is connected to my "internal" network via a switch on eth1. It is capable of reaching the web-admin page and making changes etc. Network wise it is all working properly.
From admin page I select CORE (not core-hybrid) and create child device. Peripherals>Web Orbiter. This creates Generic Web Device and a child of that called Proxy Orbiter.
In generic proxy orbiter I see that default listen port is 3461. I do not enter an IP or MAC but do set resolution at 480 x 320, skin to default, room to Home Theater and user to myself. I do a full regen of that orbiter followed by a Quick Reload Router.
Now on my iPhone I go to safari and put in the address of my core (192.168.80.1) then I select web orbiter. It asks my password and username, the next screen shows my install # and asks my device. I enter the device # 52 which was the Generic Proxy Orbiter above. I then have a working orbiter on my screen in safari.
I go to the iPhone4 menu and create a shortcut to this on my desktop which it automatically names "WebOrbiter." This is now completely functional.
Now I open the app-store downloaded "Roaming Orb." I go to the config screen by flicking up from the bottom of the screen. I enter 192.168.80.1 and port 3461. Restrict to wifi yes, load indicator no, polling freq 1, connection retries 5. Delicately I press around the unrendered save button near the words "Save settings and connect" It loads my mainmenu.png after finding the right spot.
The safari based WebOrbiter functions but the RoamingOrb locks after inputing 1 command. I can go from mainmenu to video but then it locks there. I can go to Music but it locks there.
Troubleshooting:
I reopen the WebOrbiter and do not log in. I get to select device and close back out. In this way both devices are not trying to operate at the same time on the same port #. I reselect the RoamingOrb app and try to navigate screens. It is still stuck on the video screen when I load it up. I move to configuration again and resave settings. The screen remains frozen and it will not accept navigation commands.
